What is 3DS Max?

It is computer graphics programme used to create animations, games and various models. It has specially developed capabilities and flexible system which makes it efficient to be used by people of various industries and for various purposes. It is being used by video game developers, TV commercial studios and architectural visualization studios. Movie makers use it for movie effects and pre visualization. Although the use of this programme is quite extensive and wide spread but this programme is basically used by game developers and is more helpful to them than to any other industry. 3DS Max is designed on Polygon modeling which can be applied more effectively while designing a game than in any other application. The NURBs feature of Autodesk 3Ds allows its use in automobile design and instrument design.

How have the courses been designed?

The course has been specifically designed to provide traditional and digital animation and this is software which comes in use while developing as an animator. The first semester of this course offers the fundamentals of art and design and the second semester deals with classical and digital animation. This course also stresses specifically on game development and creation various live models of 3D gaming. As the game industry in India is fast growing so this course with a sound knowledge of this software will enable the entry into the same with higher chances of employment. The courses and module of study for this course are systematically divided within the time span for better results and making it easier for the students. After the initial steps of teaching the art of animation the students are directed to the curriculum of game designing which is divided into 6 modules. Each module is covered within the span of 15 days each.

Candidates, who have passed or are waiting for results of the CBSE/ ISC/ IB (or any other equivalent board) or 10+2 examination in any discipline, and also graduate in nay stream, BFA, Architects, Civil Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Technical Experts, Diploma , ITI passed out can apply for the various courses at EXIN. Candidates may or may not have an interest in and a flair for art and design and creativity. Any additional knowledge or experience in drawing/sketching, model making and visual art forms would be an asset towards your admission.

What is the Eligibility criteria for International Students?

The Candidate should have completed 10+2 years of education from a recognised Board. For English proficiency, the candidate must have a minimum IELTS score as applicable, but not mandatory.

What does the selection process involve?

Candidates will be evaluated through the EXIN Aptitude Test (EAT). This will be followed by a personal interview, which includes individual portfolio assessment, personal counseling, session, Design career knowledge sharing, inclination to creativity and/or MCQ for assessment on eligibility of getting scholarship upto 100% , Terms and condition applied. All candidates must appear in the EAT, and the personal interview/portfolio assessment. These stages are not mandatory for each candidate, and final result shall be announced at the sole discretion of the Management only. EAT comprises 100 marks, having a test of one hour mandatory for all applicants. The test consists of two sections : Section A on Logical Reasoning and Section B on Creative Thinking and Problem Solving. This test evaluates the candidates’ aptitude for drawing, design ability, power of observation / representation, creativity, imagination, lateral thinking and writing skills. It further gauges student's environmental awareness through visual and textual questioning. Portfolio Evaluation Personally developed portfolio is mandatory and this would be evaluated during Personal Interview. The body of work can include drawings, paintings, collages, needle-work, three dimensional work, digital design, web design, sculpture etc. The portfolio appraisal will carry as much weightage as the personal interview, and the candidate's work must reflect aesthetic talent and vision. When does the application process begin?

In a year, we have 6 sessions. Under each session, there are 4 batches. This provides ample opportunity for the students to enroll themselves throughout the year.
