Communication refers to the exchange of thoughts and ideas for the purpose of conveying information. Communication is a two-way process that includes voice and gestures. The purpose of communication is to clearly express one`s beliefs, ideas, thoughts, or needs so as to reach a consensus or mutually acceptable solution.
Good communication skills are a prerequisite for professionals from all walks of life. For example, ineffective communication, rather than incompetence, prevents the doctor from communicating to the patient that the patient`s best interests are at the fore. For example, a doctor may be knowledgeable and have considerable expertise in his field of work. However, if the doctor is not adept at good communication, a patient may feel neglected, ignored or even misguided. A teacher, who can communicate well with students, can motivate them to learn and participate in class.
Good communication skills are also an invaluable asset for a salesperson as he is tasked with convincing a potential buyer of the wisdom of investing in a product. It is done by assessing the needs of the buyer and suggesting a product that will meet the buyer`s requirements. Communication does not mean only spoken words. Using sign language and the sense of touch to express feelings are also important means of communication.
Hence,
effective communication skills are very important to survive in society.
Most people judge another person based on their body language and form an opinion based on their perception.
The course aims to create an increased
awareness of the significance of soft skills in professional and interpersonal
communication and to facilitate the all-round development of personality.
Hard or technical skills help secure a fundamental position in one`s life and
career. But only gentle mastery can ensure that one can hold on to it,
climb further, reach a pinnacle, achieve excellence, and achieve perfection and
supreme happiness. Soft skills include pleasant and attractive
personality traits such as confidence, a positive attitude, emotional
intelligence, social grace, flexibility, friendliness, and effective
communication skills.
Soft skills,
also called people skills, are the mix of social and interpersonal skills,
character traits, and professional attitudes required for all jobs.
Teamwork, patience, time management, and communication are just a few examples.
Anyone who wishes to accelerate their life, career, and relationships
can participate in this learning process and advance their career from

India lacks quality people in the
industry, which calls for high-level entrepreneurship development programs
across the country to grow the Indian economy.
In a country like India,
the scope for developing entrepreneurship is vast. As there is widespread
concern that the acceleration in GDP growth in the post-reform period has not
been accompanied by a commensurate expansion in employment. The results
of the 57th round of the National Sample Survey Organization (NSSO) show that
the unemployment figure in 2001-02 was as high as 8.9 million.
Incidentally, between 2000-01 and 2001-02, another million Indians joined the
ranks of the unemployed. India`s rising unemployment rate (9.2% 2004
estimate) has led to growing
frustration among the youth.
Also, there is always the problem of unemployment. As a result, the only
consolation is the growth of entrepreneurial activities in the country.
Incidentally, both the Planning Commission reports have strongly recommended
self-employment as a means of mobilizing the unemployed youth to create 10
crore employment opportunities in the next ten years.
We have all the necessary technical and
knowledge bases to take on entrepreneurial challenges. The success of
Indian entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley is proof of that. What is lacking
is confidence and mental preparation. We are more of a reactive type of
people. We have to come out of it and be more active. More important
than the skills and knowledge base is the courage to take the plunge. Our
problem is that we don`t stretch ourselves. However, it is appreciated
that the younger generation has no hang-ups about the legacy of the current
generation and is willing to experiment. It is these people who will
create entrepreneurs in India.
We can take the example of Vikas Kedia - one of India`s most accomplished entrepreneurs; He just turned away a potential $100,000-a-year job at age 21. Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore graduate Vikas Kedia is in high demand. He has created a history of sorts in the IIM circuit by starting his own dot-com company in Bangalore, and now has his own company which is a California and Kolkata-based GRMtech.
The three-month course will provide
opportunities for those who wish to establish their own businesses. This
course will train the prospective businessmen in the venture of their
desire. Onboarding with this program, the prospective entrepreneurs will
learn about management skills, the process of starting a new business unit, the
advantages and disadvantages of financial management to raise funds required to
start a new business unit, etc.
Currently, there are
various organizations at the country and state levels that provide assistance
to entrepreneurs in various ways. Government of India and various state
governments. It has been implementing various schemes and programs aimed
at nurturing entrepreneurship for the past four decades. For example, MCED
in Maharashtra disseminates systematic training, information, and information
on all aspects of entrepreneurship and conducting entrepreneurship
research. Then there are various governments. Sponsored Scheme for
Budding Entrepreneurs.
Recognizing the
importance of entrepreneurship development in economic growth and job creation,
the Maharashtra Economic Development Council (MEDC) identified entrepreneurship
development as a focus area for the Council`s activities two years ago.
The course provides the opportunity for
those who want to set up their own business. This course will train the
potential businessman in venturing their will. Boarding with this program
future entrepreneurs will get to know about management skills, the process to
initiate a new business unit, the pros & cons of financial management for
raising funds required to start a new business unit, etc.
This course will also help
me to work as a `Lecturer/Trainer for EDP courses.
